About
Hi, I’m Vicki, the webmaster of stargze, my personal blog. I’m an ordinary girl from Venezuela who likes graphic design, digital art, fashion, astronomy and nature – particularly birds and plants.
stargze serves as a place to share random bits and pieces from my life and my creations. The latter are inspired by the late 2000s and early 2010s, and are linked to nostalgia as well as my experiences growing up as a girl in South America.
Other things that usually inspire me are: the 70s and 80s, stars, nightlife, vibrant colours, pop culture and my own culture.

About the site
stargze comes from the word stargaze, and as you may notice I´m a big fan of stars and anything related to space, so I decided to use one of my hobbies as my username.
This site was coded on Phoenix Code, in Firefox, but also tested in Microsoft Edge and Chrome.
This site is mobile friendly.
Graphics made by me.
I write on English, mainly out of habit, but Spanish is my mother tongue, so if you want to speak to me in Spanish, that’s fine.

Media
Music
My current musical tastes stem mostly from my early teens, which was heavily shaped by South Korean and Japanese media.
However, I’m likely to listen to all kinds of music.
Tommy Airline Tommy february6
2004 - Japan
Probably my favorite album of all times, at least for now, Tommy was ahead of her time, one of the few non-80s albums that actually sounds 80s.
Time ´n´ Place Kero Kero Bonito
2018 - United Kingdom
One of the best releases of the 2010s, childhood nostalgia, Flyway best song.
Atlantis Princess BoA
2003 - South Korea
One of BoA´s oldest, but my favorite of all her discography, maybe not her best, but Atlantis Princess is my favorite song ever, lovely aesthetics, iconic to this day.
Devotion Baby V.O.X
2003 - South Korea
Cute dance music and aesthetics, one of my favorite first generation k-pop groups.
Max&Match LOONA / ODD EYE CIRCLE
2017 - South Korea
THE k-pop album, LOONA is my favorite k-pop group of all time, despite loving all sub-units Odd Eye Circle has a special place in my heart.
Sound-G Brown Eyed Girls
2009 - South Korea
This album inspired me in my aesthetics, specially in the making of this website.
Kokyū Lily Chou-Chou
2001 - Japan
Beautiful and hypnotizing, an album made for us who live in a small city.
TV shows
I've always been more into animated series; while a lot of kids watched Disney Channel or Nickelodeon, I was almost exclusively a Cartoon Network kid.
My Babysitter´s a Vampire
2011-2012 - Canada
One of the reasons I really like vampire media nowadays.
The Amazing World Of Gumball
2011- /United Kingdom & United States
I remember seeing its premiere back in 2011, full of bizarre situations, but that's what I like about it.
6teen
2004-2010 - Canada
I really thought my life at 16 was going to be like this. Jude is my favorite character.
Total Drama Island
2007-2014 - Canada
Nothing beats the characters from the first season.
Mr. Trance
2013- / Colombia
I lowkey have a crush on him.
M.A.D
2010-2013 - United States
A precursor to shitposting.
Pucca
2004-2019 - South Korea
One of the few things I remember from when I was between 2 and 3 years old is watching it on Jetix in the mornings.
Anime and manga
I became interested in anime at a young age when I used to watch Dragon Ball Z on TV, however, I have to admit that I don’t watch as much anime as I’d like, which is why I’m completely clueless about today’s mainstream anime.
Haibane Renmei
2002 - 13 episodes
One of the most beautiful series ever made, it tastes like sweet bread with coffee and milk and smells like damp soil.
Planetes
2003-2004 - 26 episodes / 4 volumes
As I was saying, I really love Astronomy, a beautiful anime (and manga, too) about the future of humanity, space colonization, and evil corporations.
BLAME!
1997-2003 - 10 volumes
The best manga of all time about post-apocalyptic scenarios, to date I don't think there has been a worthy anime adaptation.
Mononoke
2007 - 12 episodes
No lie, I think this one is among top 10 anime series of all time, with some of the most spectacular storytelling, animation, and character design oat.
Princess Jellyfish
2010 - 10 episodes / 17 volumes
This is my Nana. I like that the girls are relatable, the fashion is really pretty, and I think the dynamics between the main characters are cute.
Ergo Proxy
2006 - 23 episodes
It's very dense and confusing, but it's definitely worth watching—one of the best anime series of the 2000s if you ask me.
Games
Growing up, my access to games was limited to the family computer and my Nintendo 3DS, which is why most of the games I like are for that console.
Hotel Dusk: Room 215 Cing
2006 - Point and click adventure
It might be my all-time favorite video game—pretty simple, but with a story that really draws me in.
Kira Kira Pop Princess Dimple Entertainment
2006 - Rhyhtm game
A rhythm game where you can also customize your character? I'm sold.
Style Savvy Syn Sophia
2008 - Simulation
The only serious job I've had so far, I was running that store like the navy.
Habbo Sulake
2000- / Virtual world
This was my Roblox, I was obsessed with it for a long time, and I still play it every now and then.
Papa´s Freezeria Flipline Studios
2011 / Cooking
Another addition to my extensive resume of jobs in the culinary industry
