plasma

June 8, 2026.

I updated my laptop's desktop background. I'd been using Plasma for a few months now—since around December—but I was too lazy to customize it more, but it wasn’t until yesterday that I felt like doing it, so I used Oxygen, which seems to come pre-installed with the system. I like the whole skeuomorphic vibe; I used a pink color scheme and finally customized the windows to look like those in Windows 7 and added equally skeuomorphic icons.

I found that Pucca wallpaper online and also took the chance to change the skin of VLC Media Player. It’s pretty simple compared to my past attempts at customization, but I prefer to keep it simple so I don’t have to change too many things the next time I want to try a different style.

Melon DS

May 28, 2026.

I’ve been using my last week of vacation to play a few games. Right now, I’m playing Last Window: The Secret of West Cape, which is a sequel to Hotel Dusk—perhaps my favorite Nintendo DS game. My DS is broken right now. I got it as a gift in 2012, if I remember correctly—a pink Nintendo 3DS, really cute—but since I don’t have it right now, I’m playing on Melon DS, which is my favorite Nintendo emulator.

Although hardly anyone talks about how hard it is to get past certain levels that are originally played with the Nintendo stylus. I’m playing this one with my Huion tablet, and it’s still hard—but that doesn’t take away from the fact that the game is good. I hope that when I have some money, I can buy a new Nintendo, or maybe get my old one repaired.

moon and venus

May 20, 2026.

This photo was actually taken on Monday the 18th, but I was too busy to upload it. This is the moon and Venus, if I’m not mistaken. The truth is, I didn’t have any power that day (just like every other day). It’s a pain not to have power almost every day, and it goes out for four hours—sometimes even longer. Maybe the only positive thing is that I can see the stars without any problem, or maybe I’m just deluding myself to stay sane while living in athird-worldcountry.

I feel like I’ve neglected the site quite a bit, but honestly, I have no idea what to share. I’m not really into the idea of having to post every day, but I do try to be consistent. At the same time, I don’t want to push myself too hard and post content that I’ll eventually get tired of. I don’t want to create more sections or anything like that; I’d rather just be spontaneous.

me watching vampire sisters

April 1, 2026.

April is here, and I’m taking advantage of Holy Week and my week off to watch movies. Early this morning, I decided to watchVampire SistersHermanas Vampiroin Spanish—a movie that brings back so many memories for me; I hadn’t seen it in years. I haven’t been posting much lately because I’ve also started working with my friends from college—though not really working, lol—we’re just preparing our business, which we’re launching this month.

The truth is, I have a ton of things to do—tons and tons of work—and on top of that, I have to spend a lot of money on college. It’s really annoying, yes, but it seems like I have no other choice. I just want the real vacation to start already; I want to start working as soon as possible.

foobar 2000 music player

March 22, 2026.

New layout for my favorite music player, foobar 2000. I used Spotify until June 2025, and then I switched completely to MP3 because it’s so much better. I’m the last person who likes paying for streaming services. Spotify is terrible—it’s full of AI-generated music and payola. How is it possible that artists you’ve never heard of anywhere have 10 to 20 million streams? Let’s be real.

Well, many artists have their own niches. As someone who watches Bollywood movies occasionally, it’s not surprising that artists who write songs for these movies have 100 million listeners—after all, we’re talking about India, one of the most populous countries in the world. But a random person who came out of nowhere and isn’t heard on TikTok, any social media, or any mainstream platform or venue really makes you wonder about the music industry.

The thing is, going back to MP3 makes me happier than having to spend money I could use to buy a pack of cookies—and plus, there are no ads. I hate ads.

What also interests me is being able to sync my listening history with my last.fm, something that foobar2000 has handled perfectly so far. And of course, the customization. However, foobar can be a bit difficult to customize, at least for me. First I tried using VLC, but I prefer it for videos; it still has themes—old ones, but very nice. With foobar you can use themes too, but so far I don’t know how to install them aaaa

electricity tower or something like that

March 20, 2026.

First post on the piclog, yasss! Today I went out with my parents in the afternoon, like almost every afternoon. Even though I prefer the night, I can’t help but be drawn to the sky at 5 p.m. It was really hot today, though—it’s March, and it’s one of the hottest months of the year, along with April.

Despite the heat, it’s one of the best months to watch the night sky. Plus, the Easter break—which is only a week long—is coming up. It’s short, but it’s worth it.

Here’s a power tower—or something like that—it’s a telecommunications structure. I think it’s the tallest structure in the city, and I don’t think it’s worth it; the company that owns it has had a reputation for years for having the worst connection of all, but it’s always caught my eye.
